Count me in too. David, how much did it cost to get your front end painted like that, and who did it?

Hi guys,

FYI - I too have a FMIC installed in the Pettit front end (see pics in this thread. It's painted black so you can't tell unless you look closely. All part of my stealth philosophy!). Actually, most of the reason I added the front end was to increase air flow to the engine. Pettit felt that the FMIC I installed, combined with my original front end, restricted air flow way too much and the Pettit front end would cure the problem. They were right. To my knowlegdge, no cutting was necessary to use the FMIC and the Pettit front end.

Anyway, I'm sure Pettit would be up for a group buy. If you'd like, I can call them and see what I can do for you. As for what I paid, I think the front end was $550, the turn signal lights were about $350-400, and the paint job was $300 or so. I had Pettit take care of the painting for me because I trust them.

Let me know if you'd like me to call Pettit.

By all means, give 'em a call. Thanks for offering!

Okay, I've spoken with Al from Pettit and he indicates they would be very interested in offering a group buy. He is either going to call me back with the details or, as I recommended, join the forum and this thread and post what the offer will be.

Let's see what happens! FYI - Pettit is great to work with. They salvaged a very bad situation with my car from work done in Jacksonville. The car is now killer and the work performed was excellent.

I'd be down for one as well, if the price is right. And also depends on shipping to Vancouver, BC

Oh man...decisions decision on the forefront...

I actually kinda dig the plate and RX-7 vanity plate on the authentic 99spec. But then again no plate and hopefully a good deal is enticing as well

I'll check in with Al at Pettit today to see what he's come up with. He had the flu yesterday.

Spoke with Al at Pettit. He's putting together a group buy deal and is going to get back with me. I've asked him to price out:

- the front end only (no lights).
- the spec lights.
- painting the front end (shipped to you ready to go).

Let me know if I've missed something.

David
