Parts needed for 1st gen leather shift boots...

Hi all,

I met a gentleman through Tom Lichtenegger who will be making custom leather shift boots out of "fairly high quality glove leather", and will be selling them for somewhere around $35 each, + $3.90 for priority mail with delivery confirmation.

If anyone has any of the following they would be willing to donate to the cause of getting some high quality leather boots on the market for the 1st gens, the following parts are needed, and would be greatly appreciated. Parts retaining the stock shape are all that is necessary, so your old rough or faded one you replaced would be good enough. If you have to have the parts returned, that is possible for all but the boots themselves, which will be cut to make a pattern.

* '81-'83 shift boot
* '81-'83 shift boot surround (to mark the pins)
* '81-'83 e-brake boot or clamshell boot (whichever they have, I've never noticed)
* '84-'85 e-brake clamshell boot (both halves of the plastic boot)

He has the patterns for the '79-'80 Series 1 parts for both the shifter boot and the e-brake boot. Thanks to Scott in Indiana for donating those parts!

If you would like to donate some parts to the cause, please e-mail jlinnihan@mn.rr.com me for the address to send them to.

Thanks all,
