Painting S4 side mouldings...

I would like to paint the Black side mouldings on an S4 TII to the factory white color. I have the color in a spray can, I have been using it for touch ups.

I just want to get a good "tutorial" on painting these things, because I don't want to wreck them. Should I use some sort of etching primer so the paint sticks to the plastic? Should I sand them? I know when u sand them... they come out a whitish color. If I sanded them first would the color turn out better?

Thanks for any help.

find a shop in your area that can paint match and put in spray cans... or go to an auto parts store that carries a large assortment of colors. I have done both. I found a white that matched the factory white and I could not notice a difference in any light. Either way.

Thanks a lot!

One more question... I know you can remove the door mouldings... but what about the front and rear bumper? I believe they are part of the bumper and I don't want to try removing them if I don't have to.

Front and Rear Bumper have the mouldings, molded into them. That is why most cars with shaved doors with no mouldings still have the front and back unless it is a custom bumper. You CAN'T take the mouldings off the front or back.
