new stereo on my other car, questions
Hey everyone. I finally got another car so I don't have to drive my 7 in bad weather and put so many miles on it. However, it didn't come with the stereo. I just want to put a basic radio/cassette head unit in there, nothing fancy. However, some guy at Best Buy told me I have to purchase this additional kit ($50) in order to get it to work with the keyless entry/alarm. Is this true, or is he bullshitting me? Could I just plug in the new unit or is it more complicated?
Thanks,
matt

Call crutchfield (1800-955-3000) or check their website out (www.crutchfield.com). They are WAY better than the stereo jocks in best buy. They usually have all the wiring harness adapters (no wire cutting), correct speaker sizing for your car, speaker adapters/spacers, extreemly high quality head unit adapter kits, and the biggesting then - THEY SHIP YOU A HOW-TO MANUAL.
They can answer those alarm questions.
Been dealing with them for 10 years now.
