I think the reason why it looks odd is because the seems still go around where the pop up lights used to be.
How about shaping the hood to where it matches the design of the car and yet not show signs of any pop up light ever being there....
and make another one where you just flush it all out like the race car.

The problem with that is that the headlights extend out to the sides and down the front further than hood. To make even lines, you would have to change the bumper, fenders and hood all to match (or get an all-in-one front which wouldn't be practical on the street):

hehe cant get the picture to post on the net. its hard to get the hood lines to look right if you are wanting to chance the deminsions of it. it looks like it would take alot of fabricating to get it done.

Okay... I really like the 99 front end but i dont like the licensce plate...I have seen the Pettit Version with the shaved plate and even OEM 99 front ends without the plate Yet!
I have got to say this!! THE FD W/O Plate LOOKS Like ITS SMILING AT YOU!
Look at this pic that compares the 99 with the 93-95 and you can see the smily difference

I see what you're saying about the smily, but I kinda like it. That's personal preference, though.
But add a Feed Intake headlight and it'll look like it's winking at you too...Now that's freaky!

okay here is what i come up so far.
Now. I didnt want to bond together the fenders and the hood, but just be able to shape it in a way were the hood will blend in with the shape of the car. Which shouldnt be hard to do since people do it all the time to do Sylvia and JDM Integra Conversion.

if we could just shape the hood sort in in v shape like the new Vipers it would go perfectly with the vehicle...add HID dual projectors inside the 99 lamp housing and is all i had in mind. what do you guys think?

Here are the new lights in a black and clear format. There is a thread on them in this section. They are supposed to be going into production but the guy hasn't responded to the topic for a while.
