Need to Replace speaker in door

My right speaker in the door just blew out and I called the Mazda dealership to see how much a new one would be and I was quoted $600.00 for the darn thing. Does anyone know where to get a cheaper speaker or a speaker that may comparable that I can get at Best Buy?

Thanks for the help!!

Do you have the Bose system??? If so, I have 2 of the door speakers I can sell you for dirt cheap. They worked great when I took them out. It's just the speakers I have, not the amp and plastic bracket.

Let me know.

It's all the gold Mazda puts in their replacement parts.

It looks like plastic, but the price tells you it IS gold.

I believe.

Even if you have the bose system I would recomend getting a whole new system. Bose is overrated, you can get a mp3/cd player along with new speakers for less than $600. This will sound 10x better and will last you longer. I also would get some Dynomat to eliminate any rattling you might get from the more powerful speakers.

If you want just get a couple 5x7 speakers at circuit city to replace your old ones. Infinity Reference 2-way speakers sound great with a silk cone. $99!

Ditto on Diefied. Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio Shack. Plenty of speakers will work as well as stock for a lot less than stock.

I actually bought a real nice pair of Polk's at my work and I think the stock Bose system ones sounded better. But I am just running them off the amp in the deck. They would probably sound better with an external amp.

BTW... Ill sell both those speakers for 10 bucks plus shipping.

Thanks for all of the info!! I do have the original sound system still. I am just looking for speakers with good sound quality that will not run me $600.00

Fumanchu--How much are you willing to sell the speakers for?
