If you want an excellent quality MS-style hood we have them available once again for both the FD and FC. Attila and I sold them for several years a while back. If you search Atihun, or Atihardt there are lots of reviews, and as far as I know all are excellent. The initial investment in our hoods will easily be saved in reduced paint and body, not to mention superior materials and construction.

Here is one of our FC hoods that was at sevenstock:

And an FD one:

Before Mazdaspeed discontinued this hood it was extensively wind tunnel tested to create the low pressure zone in the cowl. I don't know of any other rx-7 hood with that investment in to the design. When you are in the car you can actually see the heat pouring out of the vents!

+1 on the VIS KS hood fitment, I've had mine for several years, no issues, although the car has been covered and out of the sunlight for the vast majority of that time

i also thought about cutting and doing some custom work to stock hood but i'm not sure how that will turn out

input and ideas please

I don't know if this is the perfect hood for v-mount but I like this hood but in same colour as the car not CF. A good example is RX7 RAGE's car https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/2011-fd-calendar-pic-thread-926053/

Otherwise you'll need a hood that has a wide rectengular hole around v-mount intercooler area which is functional but ugly imo.

BTW, there is a GB being setup for the Mazdaspeed R-Spec style hoods (a variation on the original Mazdaspeed hood posted earlier):

I used to have one of those on my first FD. The fitment was perfect and it still used the stock hood latch system. I'd probably get another one in fiberglass if you guys start producing.

I've emailed Atihardt a couple times about some products but never got a response. Is there talk of some of the products coming back online?

Thanks, we worked hard to make good stuff for the community for several years. It is always a harder sell for better quality rather than low price, but once you have had both you never go back to the cheap stuff. They are available once again this month through Ronin speedworks.

Actually we have a couple molds for the old FB racecar widebodys. We also have a brand new mold for a stock replacement FB hood in fiberglass or carbon fiber. PM me for more info.

I apologize for our lack of communication. Running a niche market business is kind of an on or off situation. Either you are all in and spending a lot of time with it, or you aren't doing it at all. After a short period where life put other priorities first we are making products available again. Soon we hope to have a vendor section here on the forum. Once again we are all in. All our products are available once again through Ronin Speedworks. We are adding new stuff every couple weeks as well.
