Smile My FD went for a new paint job. any recomendation or advices?

Hi guys,

My FD went in for a new paint job today, i thinking in the RZ white (N6 if i'm not mistaken).

any recomendation or advices?

they told me that that color first takes a coat of beije and then the n6 to get that snow white finish.

has anyone done this color before? any help or comments are welcome

thank you in advance

This is probably in the wrong section bud...

I'm considering doing this color myself . Snowy white looks very good in pics but I would do a test spray first to see how it looks. I told myself if I was going to get my second FD painted, I'd consider non-oem colors as well and man, there are some really nice paints out there. Don't limit yourself.

I paint cars. yea it's a tri coat(three stage) paint it looks pretty cool. it's a off white base coat with a ice white mid coat. it would look nice. but my advise if u like the ice effect, I would put it over a solid sky blue color. the effect is pretty sick!

exactly it's so much you can do with colors and effects. theres different colors. then when you add mid coats in the equation it's so much more you can do with colors.

If I do a colour change in the future I will be going for Peugeot pearl white or metallic white as some say found in 308cc, 508 and 3008. You can hardly tell the difference in pics but it looks totally sick on a sunny day and at night. It would look even better with RX7s curves.

Pics don't do it justice but here are some pics anyway:

I have a picture of a '95 240SX that was painted 'Championship White' and it had a little bit of gold flakes in it. It was SUPER sexy. It had a nice "frosty" look.

The problem I have with this is that it will be hard to make paint corrections if you go to another shop right? I would love to do a custom color but this has always stopped me.

Alpsta, those Peugot colors look nice man.

if u get a custom color make sure when u buy your paint the label with the color code on it keep it and guard it with your life. if you have a mid coat effect do the same with that. that way if you wreak or jus want a touch up the label should have the paint formula on it so it won't b nothing to mix that exact color. trynna match colors by name is a pain in the recknum(lol) cause every color has a alt. color which means different tones or variances. jus keep ya label on your paint cans.

Yeah, thanks man, it's one of my favourite colours atm. What I like about it is that it's not exaggerated like some of the older white pears we've seen in cars like Cadillac, Infiniti etc. This one doesn't go beige or purple like others. This colour was introduced on one model only but then after it's success Peugeot made it available on other models and it's selling quite a lot. I reckon it would look mad on a RX7 with red interior.

Just to let you know Peugeot pearl white is also called metallic white sometimes cause you can see metallic silverish flakes in the paint but they are very fine in size so if that's not your thing you may not like that colour.

Here are some videos to give you an idea:

It's difficult to give a colour suggestion without knowing someone's style and taste but on a RX7 it'd look good with black wheels, red calipers and red seats like Bride

Sorry if you can't see the pearl...

It did look very nice in person, though.

I guess I forgot, but after doing some quick research on the history of my FD:

My FD is actually painted GM's "Actic White" with a slight white pearl in it, if anyone wants close-up pics..

Don't mind the horrible fitment...Gonna get that all fixed...

>_>

Whatever you decide, get something that is easy to paint match. I went with candy apple red and that is impossible to match, learn from my mistake!

I think smokey granite mica on the '08 Lexus' is my next color, I like galaxy gray from House of Kolor as well. That Peugeot white with the pink pearl in it looks dope though. So many choices...I'm sick of my vintage red, seems like everyone has it too.
