Mounting Seats - Sparco

Hello all. I just bought some new sparco Seats the R505 models because I'm redoing my whole interior. Anyways I've done alot of searching all over the forums and google, I've read on the sparco website about brackets. So what I want to know is how do I go about mounting the seats. I'd like for them to be able to slide. I just cant seem to find a bracket that I KNOW will fit. Sparco has 2 brackets the 400 and the 500, but it seems that neither will fit in an FD. They also have a universal mounting bracket, BUT it says that it works best in mounting situations where the floor is flat and as you all know the front two bolts are angled. So just curious what you all have done. The only thing I found was an article on Rob Robinette's site where he used the stock sliders, but he had to modify them with a piece of aluminum so they would attach to the bottom of the seats. I would preffer to not have to do that if possible. So thats my story. Once again thank you for any and all help on this topic.

P.S. I'll be posting up some pics here in the near future to show everyone I've just bein lazy or had my hands full.

I doubt im going to be much help by saying this, but I doubt your going to find anything that will directly mount those seats in your car.

Will they fit without hitting the door panels? I was looking at these seats, they like nice. Please post some pictures up as Im looking to put some aftermarket seats in the rx and having difficulty making a decision.

Good luck

Take a look at some of the Bride rails. They will be expensive (around $220), but they'll work.

Ok I'll do that. I havent actually recieved them yet but ill get some pics up soon as I get them. Ill look into the bride rails, but will they mount to sparco seats since they are a different brand?

That's something you'll have to figure out. This is part of the problem with aftermarket seats and this car. There are only a handful of seat rails that will fit the car. You either find a seat that you know will work with a particular seat rail, or you are creating adapter plates to make the seat work with some seat rail (stock or aftermarket rail).
