Does anyone cut off the stock FD airbag plug, and splice it onto the Miata airbag wire? That way I can connect the airbag using the original plugs.

I've redone it twice (1st with soldering and electrical tape, the 2nd with crimping the wires into a metal connector) and still get the airbag light.

Will try it once more before diagnosing the airbag is faulty.

 

I have not seen a faulty charge so far, do you have a picture of your wiring? And you didn't have this issue with the stock steering wheel?
