Making your own projectors

I'm wordering if anyone has tried creating their own projector lamps using aftermarket "donars" from, say, Procarparts.com? There seems to be a few decent looking kits avail, I'm just not liking the looks of the projector lamps themselves.

do a search. some one actually did that and integrated HID's with it. You can also go to www.hidtech.com and have you headlights retrofited with projectors with HID's and hi-low beam for less than $500 if I remember right.

HRK,

Thank you. I've seen that particular thread you're talking about. What I'm trying is to get an idea of the Procarparts-designed or less expensive light kits that are federally approved.
