TX Low-key audio install for my FC :)

So I want a bit of bass in my 10th AE FC. Nothing that can move mountains, just a bit more response from the low end. What I'm looking at is the Focal IBus 20. From the reviews I've read, you shouldn't let the 150W max fool ya; it gives ultra clean sound, sure, but it provides a surprisingly satisfying thump for an active enclosure. I really love the way the unit looks too. It seems very well built, with an aluminum case that has a sweet industrial look to it. Here is an in depth review of the unit.

It fits perfectly in the storage bin behind the seats, and what I'll go with is a false bottom close to the lid with a carpeted T setup that I can bolt this sucker to. I've ordered a storage bin off ebay so that I can take that lid, cut out the center of it, and carpet over it again to let the sound through while looking almost completely stock. I'll update you guys with the results within a week or two.

Can't. Friggin. Wait.

I like your thinking, keeping the car looking stock. I don't like these cars looking guetto. I am interested in this hidden base.
How many miles on your AE and is that new paint?

90,100 miles on the odo give or take a few. The paint is new. It was done before I bought it, and I'm not sure it's painted in Crystal White, but they did a fairly clean job of it.

I'd definitely like to take a look at this when It's done. Give some good install pics! It may be something I try...

So the system has been in for about a week or so, and I'm very satisfied with the results. As you can see, I've removed the lid so that the speaker can do its work. I have yet to receive the spare storage bin, and when it comes in, I'll compare the lid from that one to the one out of my car and I'll modify the one that looks less "new." In the meantime, here is a pic of the Focal unit in the bin mounted to the fake bottom in the bin.

The sound is phenomenal. There's excellent bass response, no rattle, and a satisfying thump that I wouldn't have believed possible from such a low profile unit. The overall audio experience is much fuller and very clean. Just what I wanted

That's a really chill setup...I'm definitely going to do something like that when I've got time and extra money... (which is a bit of a long shot, I know) Good job!
