KS style NS Flared Carbon Fiber Hood anyone?

This hood is just like the VIS and Seibon replica knightsports hood, except it also has vents at the rear of the hood, check out the pics. I'm thinking about getting it, I like the additional rear vents.

Anyone have this hood or what do you think of it? It's made by GTP C-Wings. Sold at the links below:

http://www.aerokits.net/cart/index.p...oducts_id=1604

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=140407155165

http://www.octanemotorsports.com/Maz...duct_info.html

I also like the wood bolted to it to protect the corners during shipping. I've read more better reviews about VIS and Seibon hoods, I've seen good and bad reviews on some of these hoods from Chaser. They do have mostly good feedback on ebay from other buyers who bought hoods from them.

I'm really thinking of giving it a try, I want this one for all the vents to reduce underhood temps, and it looks good too, I'll keep it carbon fiber probably, and only $575 shipped on ebay. I'm also going to call them on Monday to ask questions. Of course I want it to fit good too without any major problems. Was also considered the Scoot style hood but it looks like alot of the fresh air coming in could just go right back out the vents. I decided to get a vented hood for the vents not for looks.

Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

I have the seibon KS replica, they should all have the rear vents like this one. Their hood was well made. I have some pictures in an album on here (on my phone so I can't put a direct link)

Oh really, yours has those rear vents too? The one on ebay is the only one I could find pics of with the rear vents. I ordered it on ebay hopefully it will be here soon.

This is the hood i am getting for the same reasons as mentioned above. To pull more heat out from my engine bay. Especially the way i have my turbo headers configured, it will work out perfect for me.

Also, octane motorsports is only 1.5hrs away from me! soo stoked!

I got this hood installed today, a few pics attached, overall it's pretty nice, once I got it to fit good. The vents look like they will work great, even better than I expected the way it is designed to vent out alot of hot air, I'll have to get better pics to show how well they should work I assume.

I had to drill out the hinge bolt holes to make it fit good and align up with everything good, and ALOT of drilling out the hood latch holes. The latch needed to move over nearly a 1/4". Once I did that I'm happy with the way it fits, its not bad and definitely could be alot worse. Hood to Fender gaps are a little wider than stock but it's not too bad. The gaps around the headlights are pretty good and gap to the front bumper is not bad. The pass. side fender gap looks weird in the one picture but thats cause the hood curves down towards the headlight a little, which I can fix with hood pins there behind the headlights and it will look good.

Shipping from this ebay seller was very slow. Overall I'm happy with it cause it looks nice, fits decent after some work, and looks like it will do a great job of venting which is the main reason I wanted it.

New pic attached, nice looking carbon fiber hood pins from ebay. They look good and the carbon fiber overlay is exactly the same as the overlay on the hood, so they blend in nicely. They work good. The install was not easy, but turned out good.

I like mine. It fits great and doesn't wobble. I pulled the screens and tossed them cause I think they look like ****. The only other thing I dislike about my hood is the color. It's got the weird carbon-kevlar looking color to it...I would have much rather had the standard twill weave carbon.

Mine came with the car. Yeah, you're not too far from me! We should organize a Bay Area FD meet, haha!

Where is this "Octane" place you speak of?
