investing manufacture carbon FD dash kit advise
Hey guy i'm interesting in manufacture carbon fiber FD dash kit any advise will be greatly appreciated! My dad's friend owns a manufacture plastic goods company in China, one of top 50 manufacture of plastic goods in China. They have been making few OEM interior goods and exterior goods for japanese car company, and lots of aftermarket car plastic goods like tail lights, grills, interior trim...etc. They offer me a contract 100% OEM fitting matched but they will need a brand new OEM dash kit part. My question is How many of you will be interesting buying a 100% OEM mached carbon fiber dash kit? Its going to be around $300 each part.
I will be sending them a 1 new panel to make the mold(the most expensive part) to make for me to test fit and to check for the quality. which part you guys think i should send them to do the mold first?(each mold will cost from 15k-22k from the dash). Each mold will take around 100 days to make and around 15 days to produce the product.
The reason why I'm interesting is that i brought a $500 carbon fiber dash kit from china i was very disappointed with the quality and the fitment. Why i brought the $500 dash kit cuz i can't find other company that makes good quality and fitment.
Any advise will help I appreciated very much.

If you can actually make a oem fitting piece, it will sell like hotcakes. We're buying **** that doesn't even fit properly at $300 a panel. Do the clusterface, hood,ac panel, shifter trim and door trims.
I'll be your first customer if it fits properly, I live in Brooklyn too.

+1 if it actually fits 100% correctly... I've lost count on the number of people/companies that have come on the forum and promised the same thing though. Then people get their money taken, parts taken, and fitment is still not 100%. Last decent attempt I recall was Carbon Miata that got pretty close, think their kit goes for $600ish.

I had the same experience as rejckt, promised good fitment but fitment turned out to be poor.
The thing is, most people have lost hope on all these carbon fiber kits which guarantee 100% fitment and don't deliver.
Count me in if its a 100% OEM fitment, I'm sure plenty of people will jump in if the manufacturer delivers.
For a car thats 20+ years old most interior pieces are brittle or abused from daily use and OEM ones are quite expensive new.
