interior paint??

my speedometer is bounching up and down and i think the connection is loose as it only happens when im driving! Im thinking of painting my interior as im going to take all of them out anyways...

What i got so far:
1. Tamiya Paint (Metallic Black for the guage cover, a mix of Light gunmetal and Pearl White for the other interior)
2. Sand paper

Some thread suggest to get clear coat paint, but i couldnt find any from Tamiya. Can i just use any clear coat paint or is there a special paint for this?

and is there a step by step how to??

Tanx

never dont it myself...so listen ..lol
-remove everything
-wash it
-sand
-primer the mug..(flex agent)
-paint the mug.. Tremclad krylon if you using a can..i'd use body shops paint (ppg, dupont)but thats me
-clear the mug.
usually when i spray anything, first always spray a light coat , then medium , then finish it..(so you wont get drips) then go show off your rice project! haha. pm me if you need help.

Mahjik... man you show off... hehehe

i like how we have the same taste on the metallic black! It looks as though it has some glitter on different lighting... cool. im thinking of putting the pearl white as the base color a and the mettalic black as the top color to make it lighter as in gunmetal... what do you think?

Ill try to play around first like what you did Mahjik... and post some how to if i can get a digicam from me friend.

Tanx a bunch

Yes, the glitter in the paint really only shows up in direct light. Otherwise, it just looks like a light black color. That was the effect I was looking for as I wanted something close to stock, but just different enough to be a change.

The base color will make some difference, but not a huge difference. The Tamiya paint coats fairly well. I used a light gray primer for mine as there was just enough difference between the black and gray for me.

Yep, do what I did and use the shifter panel to test out your colors. Good luck!

Here's a shot I took of the Check Engine light for another thread here on the forum. You get a good look of the color once light hits it from the flash.

Who cares about being a copy cat, do what you like to your car. If you like something someone else has done, oh well, enjoy your car they way you want it.

Just post pics when you get it done.
