if i want to change the color of the interior from red to black how do i go about doing it?

 

you can find someone with black parts, or you can get it redone at a shop.

 

there are a lot of posts about that topic....the plastic can be painted or you can use a special dye. i got a quote of $400 to dye all the plastic and carpet. The seats can be recovered for around $400 a piece "best quote I got"

 

Keynote22, how good does the job come out when it's painted? If you had the choice, would you paint it or buy it? I'm considering changing the interior but am having a hard time selling my beige interior in favor of the black.

 

go buy some touring edition leather seats!

 

The people that have done the painting only complain about the carpet. Apparently, as the carpet gets worn, the old color will show back through, so you need to touch it up from time to time. I guess the vinyl painting holds up well:

I havent really ever seen it up close.

 

as a side note I think you are *CRAZY* for wanting to change the color. The Silver with red interior and black with red interior are the two rarest rx7's ever made and worth more than the others, plus the red interior is cool as hell.
