Hydro-dipping Interior Panels (FD)
So wanted to get some ideas since I know someone who has access to a machine that does Hydro-dipping.
This is a water transfer process that leaves parts with a cool finish and very durable protection.
I was thinking of giving him the idea about hydro-dipping our shifter panel, the A/C panel and the gauge cluster.
What would you guys pay for a service like this?
Here are some examples of how it will look!

Please search before starting threads.
There was also a thread about this just a few months ago:

Looks horrible IMO.

I agree. I hate that fake carbon weave look as well. I think if the panels could be dipped in a semi-gloss black, similar to what a stock panel would look like, with a higher scratch resistance as compared to painting, I would be in. Just not a fan of the fake carbon, or color matching interior panels, etc. I just refinished mine not too long ago. I have to install them, so I'm not sure how my painting will hold up to everyday use.

No that is just what I posted, but there are many styles to go with. I am not a fan of the fake Carbon and have gone with the 3M wrap and loved it. I was about to buy the actual fabric that is very similar to the dry carbon and feels better, but stopped when my buddy said he could do this.
Anything people want can be done. I was thinking of a gray color like the Spirit R interior. I am not a fan of painting my interior panels because it feels cheap and not very durable.
Another though.... Has anyone wrapped a piece in the 3M vinyl and then cleared it with automotive clear???

Painting isn't such a bad option, btw. I figured out a way to paint the interior panels so they have a nice subtle texture and look OEM:

i started looking up hydrographics places in florida... some places have some really good looking patterns, if someone wanted to do the carbon twill, there are a lot of variations to choose from

i think the third from the bottom middle row TWP-185 looks very realistic
ill be redoing my interior soon and im really tempted to do something crazy like leopard/cheetah or snakeskin or something crazy on all my plastics.... im just worried i might get tired of it quickly.
