Use a big giant super sharp screwdriver and hammer.

I've used a hairdryer before to remove emblems.

Heat gun and careful use of a credit card can work great. There will be three holes to fill though if you don't plan on adding another emblem.

Take it back to the body shop, and ask them to do it. They are professionals, and should know what they are doing

Do not use anything harder than your fingernail...I used Simple Green on a soft cloth and plenty of elbow grease. It will come off,,,,slowly. Then use a good wax to finish it off.

Use a rag and some denatured alcohol. It will rub right off. The alcohol wont hurt the paint.

I used lighter fluid, it softens the glue then just wipe it off with a soft cloth...after that just wax that area, I did it on mine and it worked great...did not hurt the paint at all..

Actually, there's some stuff at Home Depot, similar to Glue Gone.

except it's all organic and will not mess with your paint in any way shape or form.

Best advice I can give you though is to let the liquid do most of the work, don't scrub it. Get it wet on a towel and hold it on there for a minute or too. then gently thumb it off, if you don't mind a few swirls though, you can scrub it a little with the towel as well.

3M adhesive remove does WONDERS. The best detailers out there use it.

3m has a professional product that removes goo, it is paint safe and only cost about $9, well worth it.

I just swapped out my stock emblems recently. The adhesive on my car was dried up and crumbly. I picked the majority of it off the paint with my fingernail. The trouble spots I soaked in an adhesive remover and then picked with my fingernail again. After that I used a clear coat safe polish and lots of elbow grease to clean up the area before applying the new emblems. On my car if you look closely you can still identify where the old emblems were because the paint is slightly distorted from the old adhesive. I guess 12 years will do that.

My friend told me a trick to remove mine and it worked quite nicely. Just soak it in lighter fluid, then use a piece of fishing line to seperate the glue and remove the emblem from the car. I did this and it came off pretty easy, then just use some more lighter fluid and your finger to remove the extra paint. This works great but if you are having trouble just use a lot of lighter fluid then find a match

Use a heat gun to soften up and remove the bigger globs, and then use Finish Line concentrated citrus biosolvent (you can get it at a bicycle shop) to remove all traces of the glue residue without any damage to the paint...plus, it smells good! it's a terrific degreaser and cleaner that you'll continually use.

I just did mine about a month ago. It's held in place by these tabs and some glue. The glue that held the original emblems in place lost most of it's holding capability, so I was able to pull them off (slowly). To get the old glue gunk off of the body, I just used some WD-40 and a old T-shirt and the gunk came right off.

Is he taking off the front emblem or the rear?? I know the front emblem has the 3 prongs and thats why i haven't touched the back emblems. I'd like to take my rear emblems off but don't want to have to fill any holes or anythign like that. Are there prongs on the "mazda" or on the mazda emblem on the rear???

The front logo, rear logo and Mazda emblems all have prongs. The RX-7 letters have no prongs. I just replaced all my emblems recently.
