Hood pins for FD
Alright, so I am going to probably be picking up a hood and Chuck from Rotary Extreme was telling me that for it to get a good fitment I'm going to need to order hood pins for the hood so I'm asking which hood pins are best out there? I'm trying to get pins that are not going to take away from the hood, basically, some subtle and not ricey. Also how much are they usually? Thanks

Those ones at coastfab are aerocatch fasteners. Their official site is here:
http://www.aerocatch.com/automotive-home.html
They require a lot of choppin' to your brand new hood to mount.
Hoodpins.com also offers a self latching pin that requires less modification to the hood, but aren't as beefy as the aerocatch. IMO they are plenty sturdy, but not as unique.
There are advantages and disadvantages to this type. The advantage is that you lessen the risk of driving off without having put the clips back in...all sorts of horror stories about that, typically involving a bashed windshield and messed up hood. The disadvantage is that you need a helper to open your hood if you keep the stock hood catch up front...one pops from inside the cabin and one pops from the outside. OR you can ditch the stocker. The jury still seems to be out on whether that is a good idea with these or not.
Another option is the locking cylinder pins, seen here at a randomly googled online store:
http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/m...ing_hood_pins/
They don't have the self-latching feature of the above, but the design is sleeker and you have the capability to lock the suckers instead of just putting pins in.
