are you using stock harness and stock amps? if so then you have to power up the amps or rewire them to just use + and - and take out the amps. the stock configuration uses (i think) 3 wires for each speaker, +/-/and ac for the amp. i think the amp grounds to the body not sure but i know it has to be powered to use stock wires. if you have a new head unit then i would just rewire them because the stock amp only amps it about 5-10 watts. its not really worth the extra power drain. hope im being clear and i hope this helps.

yea I understand I did remove the stock amps from the dash speakers. I ran new wires for the doors and the rears but not for the dash. I was wondering if I could still have dash speakers by splicing into the door wires like in the diagram. Would that be ok?

yeah. it all depends on the quality you are looking for. you could have 6 individual speakers with 3 channels which would sound much better then 6 speakers that are hooked up to 1 or 2 channels. by splicing them into the door wires you draw current from them to power the dash speakers. itll be noticable when you crank it up but i dont think much since its only 4" speakers. again it depens on what you want.

by the way whats the watts on the speakers you are running? is it stock size? that diagram is really unclear. it shows all speakers connected to one channel.

is there a section for this?!!!

if you want to do it right you have to get cross overs. if you just want to half *** it then do this, have 2 channels and have one for the rears and one for the front/dash/tweeter. then have the line out for subs/amps.

if you have a normal midrange crossover, it will have 1 channel input and 2 channel output. 1 of the outputs is for highs and the other is for the rest, some crossovers will have a resistor in them so you can connect the 2 speakers in parallel and not drop the resistance too low for the head unit
