Help: driver's side floor gets wet

After a decent rain the driver's side floor in my FD is wet. There is no water marks from above and my sunroof does not leak. Can anyone give me an idea of where to look for screwed up weather stripping, ect?

Probably door seal

I have the same issue, but on both sides of the car. It's your door seals - they leak on the bottom and capillary action of the water causes the carpet to just suck it up over the door sills.

Check your back spare wheel well, too. If you have water in that, then your tail lights are leaking. Use silicone to fix that - the gaskets decompose after 10 years.

I had a similar problem in my old MX-6. Water would pool in the spare wheel wheel. I ripped the whole trunk liner out and re-caulked everything I could find to no avail. Never even thought of the tail-lights.

Is it really water or coolant?

Did you peel off the carpeting and checked??

Black Rocket is right - smell and color will tell you

Black Rocket is right to ask - if you have coolant, then you've got a leaking heater hose. PITA to get under and fix, but not the end of the world. Just don't dally about getting it fixed - you will have other bigger problems if you wait.

Could be a front window seal, as well.

DAMN! thanks guys, I am going to check in the morning. Kinda ironic ehh. I just assumed it would be water because I always felt it after it rained. I'm betting its coolant because i could always sorta smell raw coolant inside ever since i got my car and that explains it.

Where are the coolant lines that would be leaking? I pulled up the driverside carpet and I saw none.

How about pass side floor (under the carpeting)?
The reason for me to stress the floor problem is the fact I had the problem with heater core leak and let me tell you I had entire interior removed with just a drivers' side seat for a while and finally found the PITA leak.

Also, as InsaneGideon said; how does the windshield seal look like.

Can you track down any incoming water from most obvious places (like any water residue by the door or something)?

my car was doing the exact same thing.

there are hoses that run from your roof and out through the A pillar. in my case the hose had detached on the drivers side, thus the water. its a minor fix, i hope that is what is wrong for you.

So that would be some sort of drainage hose that runs through the a-pillar? Thanks I will check that.
