You could get the eastbaer kit for approximately $500

just pm Dragon or FDOkinawa since they both have them(I should know, I watched them put the lights in)

Dragon's got some pics of his car somewhere on the forum, just gotta find them...

My East Bear lights are ariving today, I'll post a review later.
Got them through Wayne at Phase2Motortrend.com.
I don't know who you talked to at East Bear but he probably didn't want to mess with just one light kit. Per Takakaira.com shipping is only $60-$80 to get them here. I let Wayne do the leg work for me though.

The difference between East Bear and ReAmemiya is the lights are set a bit above the fender line and a bit farther forward to give a better light pattern. Anyone I've ever asked about the Amemiya lights says the light pattern sucks.

The difference between the C-Westin and East Bear lights is that the East bear kit uses actual head lights (like the ReAmemiya kit), where the C-Westin kit uses Catz fog lights and driving lights. Not the best lights to use if you plan on driving on any dark roads, very poor light pattern.

Also from what I hear both the ReAmemiya and C-Westin kit suffer from a fogging problem. The East Bear kit won't since it doesn't have covers over the lights.

In talking to Chuck at www.rotaryextreme.com, the East Bear's use IPF lights, same as the RE Amemiya and Rotary Run Racing headlight conversions. The C-West aren't great, according to him, unless you adjust the lights upward. I suspect that would **** off motorists passing the other direction. My question is; are the IPF's sealed beams or do they feature seperate lights/reflectors that allow bulb changes (HID upgrade anyone?)?

More than likely, if you order from www.takakaira.com, they'd be at your door in two weeks. The exchange rate is fantastic at the moment, so even with shipping, the price may be below $600.

RotaryExtreme is also working on a copy of the RE kit. You could just buy the housing and stick your own HID or whatever light kits you wanted into them. If the new Mazdaspeed's don't come through, I plan on taking the RE copy bottoms, fitting PIAA 910's (110w projectors) along with a pair of Hella housings featuring a HID upgrade. If everything is off the shelf (so to speak), I'll have a HID setup for less than an upgraded East Bear kit.

I believe chuck is planning on selling them both ways, with and without lights. Check with him directly however. rotaryextreme@aol.com or visit the web site.
