Where exactly is the rattle coming from? If you have a sunroof, it might just be the drain tubes.

its just the hatch, my subs are in a ported/vented box and they ports/vents shoot straight up at the hatch. this gives great sound but not when the bass is POUNDING because it rattles the whole hatch. i already fixed the side mirrors because those were rattling like madd...Im guessing that the hatch rattles against the frame so maybe i could put something between the hatch and where it contacts the car when its closed... any ideas?

Hmmm, on my car (86 GXL) the hatch is nice at tight. You can push on it and it moves up and down a bit, but it doesn't rattle. Maybe you can adjust the lock to lock the hatch down tighter or maybe fill the weather striping with some foam to create a tighter seal.

i had the same problem!
just buy some good weatherstriping from a hardware store! with adhesive on the back, then stick in around the edge where the hatch contacts the body. keeps pressure on the hatch, then stops the rattle.
hope this helps!
