They make bi-xenon kits now...

Though HID does improve night visibility, our housings don't project them properly.

Supposedly the Catz kit takes into consideration the fact that the lens was not designed correctly. I recently purchased mine through Visual Dynamics in Canada but unfortunately I haven't installed it yet so I can't tell you if the light is projected properly or not. Also, since the whole engine bay is so tight, I'm trying to figure out where I can install the ballast and other parts of the kit.

I would greatly recommend the Catz Dual Beam HID H4 Kit. I would take the 4300K kit since its pure white, It looks awesome, I dont have one but ive seen it and i will eventually get one.

Its not worth doing the conversion if you are not getting High Beams and is not worth getting 8000K since it looks blue and cheap. If you are going for the blue look get a 5000K which is like the BMW tones, the max i recomment is between 5 and 6K which it will be purpleish like mercedez.

4000K t0 4500K is pure white and it looks so beautiful. You wont regret and ive seen many people go for other alternatives and they end up going for the Catz kit at the end. DOnt waster your money like that, if you do pass some money to my paypal account

Dont get Hella or Phillips anything. Get real HIDs

I have Catz HID H4, high/low beams installed on my car and I love them. They are plug and play, and are top quality. They are almost giving away this kit for the price that you can get them for. Of course the stock housings are @$$, I will be fixing that with E-Spec glass housings soon.
You might have trouble finding the kits for sale, it's illegal for retailers in the US to sell them now. Get them while you can!

I'll take some pictures and post them later.

I have H4 single beam HIDs. I don't even miss the high beams. I don't need them any more. My 5000k HIDs are really bright! And like Musik3k said, get the 4000-4500k bulb temps for pure white light. Mine have a very slight blue tinge to the light.

Mine only cost me $340...

Here's My setup...

The HID is only on the low beam and the High beam is H9 (Halogen Bulb) since I hardly ever use High Beam I was fine with that...

Two Things, HID is most effective and most non offensive to others in a HID Projection system. Even though HID might be DOT and Lens Might be, but once you assmble them they are not... DOT approved and can cause you grief with the law.

Can you easily go back to stock lighting after these are installed?

Of course -- they are plug and play. Though, you might have a hard time adjusting back to the shoddy stock lights.

.
Arent the housings/reflectors on the euro spec substantially different in the direction they illuminate, being lhd countries? I know the euro spec mirrors are tough to adjust to the proper angle, and the outside (right) one is generally useless as it cant be adjusted enough.. I thought light housings were the same way.. ours naturally widen and fade to the right. The other way would be really annoying to oncoming traffic.
