Did few thing tonight. since, it is raining forever in SCA right now. cant work any major.

By reading the manula of Stack dash. They recomand to power up the dash first,
this what I to. MM the dash just look so dam good !!! . and I glad every thing work too,

then I cut out the template try to place the best location on my spare dash cluster. after about 30 min of trying . I figure I am wasting of my time. because the cluster will soon to be cover by Caron fiber. might just wait until them to do the cutting and measure.

The parts need. tomorrow. going to buy warming light for all the dash. sent the dash to http://www.carbontrix.com/ to let me quote and mabe cover the dash.

Need to think some thing of oil temp. I would like to place the sensor on the oil pan. but wonder should I but the oil temp plug sold in speed shop. or drill out the factory one.

LAst by Studying Factory manual. I will try to hook every thing from Factory harness. this incl The Power. Fuel level. all the warning light. and still think about wheel speed senor, the manual did not list it very clear

MM I think I found where to hook the Pulse Amplifier . on the Factory manual.

it list there are two signal wire too the dash from Speed sensor. and it conect all the way up to the dash. by hooking up pin 3A Y/W I should get the signal, for wheel speed.

and as fuel level sensor hooking up 2B W/G should get the signal for fuel level sensor.

Hope this all work up smooth

I don't get what you were saying... You decided to have it covered first before you sent it out? If so, why would you do that? doesn't the dash pitch forward a little and need to be worked a little (did you try it out in the car or outside of the car with the pod only)?

Is been a while since I update this thread. Done following

sent the dash to Carbontrix. Will take "servaral week" to finish. and the price is not so reasonable. will check what the end result hope the Qualitry can mathc the price. BTW the owner of Carbontrix is pretty nice.

Take off my Factory dash. A bit pain to do. luckly I did not brake any plastic parts !!.

Finally spend about 1.5HR try to hook the stack dash using Factory Harness system. So far I found the power. and RPM. Tomorrow I will try to hook up fuel level and wheel speed. Rest of sensors(OP,OT,WT) are pretty simple.

I never realized how small that thing is. Do you have any pics from behind the driver seat? I bet it makes the driverside of the car feel a lot more open.

Yeah if you haven't already, try looking on the back of the stock dash cluster there are little labels where the pins on the connectors for the specific guages are. You could just clip those wires from the connectors and connect them to your dash.

Their lap timer is too expensive.
Mind making a list of the needed connectors/ what pins are needed?
Im planning on using one of these with my ls1fd. Thanks a ton, Mike

MM. your case will be very different then mine ? since you are using LS1. but Along as you can acess factory manual. the install is not too hard just take long time to study the manual . I was plan to got 3 signal from factory harness. RPM(confirm). Fuel(confirm). Wheel speed( not yet)
you will need to hook up OP.OT.WT out side.

tomorrow will try to hook up WT,OP,OP. and fire up too see . Cant wait

I think the Stack is hot, if it could datalog I'd buy one. But having to purchase one and then another 2-3 gauges doesn't make sense to me or my wallet.

Yes. is getting very close to finish. to install stack OP to stock location is a bit bitching. got da drill the stock OP adp to 1/8 NPT. The WT is pretty simple. I Tee at upper radiator hose. and for OT. I drill out the stock oil ban bolt and tap into 1/8NPT. will update pic tonight.

Fire it up at 6PM . all gauge and switch work like they should. going to fill up water for raditaor. this might take some more time.

going to clean out the wire harness. and it should be ready for test drive this weekend

Wheel speed is a last gauge I need to hook up I think I am bit confuse on the manual. it said

The input of interface should be connected to be the transducer output, by a single wire if it(the transducer) is already connected to vehincle electrical system, for supply purposes or because it is already interfaced to other eauipment. if the transducer is only to be connectred to the stack system then two wires must be used, as singal common is reuired

I dont really understand this part. I think this mean if you are use wheel speed sensor for stack dash only. one wire need. if the you need to hook up other thing two wire need it ??

I agree. I could have done something better for you with that. There would have been unlimited possibilities for what you want!! Plus then I could have wrapped it in CF for you and made it look sweet. Like how I just put an 8 inch TFT screen in the radio location and moved the AC controls and put 3 52 mm gauges in that spot and wrapped it with yellow kevlar hybrid material. Oh I would have beaten any price they gave you. Should have looked me up!! Good luck

You'll get your chance soon enough, when I start my custom gauge install.

You guys no where to find me, I really enjoy doing the custom stuff. Mine will be done very soon and Herblenny's, those two have been my biggest projects, mine is complete interior change and his is a secret until I am done. Can't wait to do more if Uncle Sam would quit buying all the Carbon Fiber.

Drain all the fuel from Tank. one thing suprise me. because stack dash show me I have 4.5 gallon in the tank( before even calib the dash). and I drain the tank today. it come out to a little more then 5 gallon. so that mean the dash is pretty close!!. well still need to hook up WS speed sensor. but without fuel in the tank and no rear suspension( going to install full pillow ball bushing). make it a bit hard to do.

finally it will bit done !!. but still need to fit into my carbon dash( not done yet). and some warning light.
