Getting my first FD tomorrow and need some advice....

Hey all,

I'm new here and I've been looking through this forum for several days now...I'm getting my 94 tomorrow. I just retired my MR2 and now going for some as sexy.

Anyways, my first task is to get a body kit and I can't decide on what to get. Of all I've seen, I've narrowed them down to these 4:

1. C-west (not too fond of the side skirts)
2. KS-auto type II FD3s (hate the mirrors on that)
http://www.ks-auto.com/turning/democar/kd1_2/photo.html
3. 99 spec
4. Feed Type F

I love a clean line on the car, nothing too-too aggressive so I resorted to these. Any advice would help, just hate makin decisions and I like them all...they all got their + & -.
I'd be willing to mix-match, but can someone point me in the direction of something not too crazy, esp the side skirts. Also, any experience on the replica kits? and the quality of the material (fiber glass is a pain in the ***), fittings, street durability, etc?????

Spoils & hood:
I really like the mazdaspeed hood and 99 spoiler, anyone know where to get??

Any advice is appreciated and cheers all

Jesus, you are getting your first FD tomorrow and your top priority is a body kit? I think you've got some hard lessons ahead.

What's wrong with getting a bodykit as first mod. Everyone may not need a single turbo kit or coilovers as first mod.

IMO make it full 99spec looking or feed bumper with everything else 99spec.

Talking

Talk about a welcome wagon!!!

With a screen name of "silvercvic", you know this guy's a ricer. Gotta get your floss on y0!
But judging a book by its cover...tsk, tsk, tsk

silvercvic is my screen, used for many years, I'm no 18 year old ricer punk, I've been modifying cars since the early 90s and graduated from HONDA school almost a decade ago. I just used that screenname cause I had it for years and my silver hatch WAS my first racer.

Jesus, you are getting your first FD tomorrow and your top priority is a body kit? I think you've got some hard lessons ahead.
The kit comes first in my book cause when my cousin works at Mercede Benz paint shop. He is giving me a paint job and he needs to do it before mid-June, he supposely very busy during that month. Plus I'm trying that new acrylic clear coat on my FD, its the new **** that MB is putting on all their 2006 new cars.

BTW, all thanks for the reply, is there a good place to buy these kits?

And a good pic of the 99spec kit, front-rear-back, on the web somewhere????

google.com, it even has an image search... they thought of everything. try rx7store.net or any of the other sponsors who's bannars are constantly at the top of your window for the kits though.

Got a red, but since I am getting a new paint job, most likely a darker red. Something I wish I got the silver, and repaint a dark gray silver metallic.

Does any of these need the fender or can they mount up to the stock??

basically stock, the previous owner put on 18" rims (not sure what kind -- 1000 Midailo or something), blitz turbo timer, new motor 1k on it, turbos rebuilt, silicone hose upgrades...everything else stock.

Is the Feed Type F, the same front bumper/kit as the ADVAN racing RX-7?? I love the way that car looks, esp with the rims on it
