C-west headlight conversion installation help needed

I have two problems I could use some help on. I just bought a B&M short shifter kit and was told by my mechanic that if i put it in my 94 rx7 it would ruin the car.

I also recently acquired a C-west headlight conversion kit and the instructions are entirely in japanese. Does anyone know where I can get an english translation of these or if there is a good mechanic for RX-7s in the baltimore area that would know? Please email me at allanbacon@gmail.com

You can post back here if you want but I check my email more frequently than I check the site (due to lag)

Thanks, Allan

do you think b&m would release something that would ruin a car...not likely. I have one and it's great! Maybe you should switch mechanics

as for the C-west lights. what part are you stuck on. Maybe I can help. I had the kit before. No cutting is required and bolts right in. The only wiring is for the fog lights that come with the kit. If you do a search you can find plenty of threads on that kit. Just in case I don't get back to this thread in time to answer your questions.

That mechanic of yours, not the B&M is likely to ruin the car. There's only about a gazillion of these on various 7s......... DUMB!

I think what your mech was talking about is how some people with short shifters blow their syncros due to poor shifting technique. It is not really the short shifters fault, but it amplifies the problem.

the c-west installation should be pretty straightforward, the only hard part is removing all the stock parts after that the dish and cf piece just bolt right in. Wiring shouldnt be too complicated but chances are good you wont want to use the catz lights anyway - I didnt.

Maroon: (mar-une)

1. (adj). color- a dark red with purple highlights (e.g. "either venous or dried blood is maroon in color") ......

2. (adj). moron--a stupid or uneducated person or an imbecile (original useage attributed alternately to Moe, Larry and Curly of "Three Stooges" fame or by Roger Rabbit, in the cartoon classic "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"

BTW your avatar is strangely disconcerting, no matter how many times I see it, I am drawn to it...Hmmmmm. powerful stuff.....
