Gauges in dash or modify A pillar pods???

Is it hard to replace the stock water temp gauge with a 52mm autometer water temp gauge? The only thing I'm worried about is the add coolant buzzer wouldn't be there anymore. I'll probably ask an autoelectrician to do the job anyway since I hate messing with the interior!

Also, I thought about buying an A pillar gauge pod w/ 2x pods but they can only fit 52mm gauges and I got a 60mm boost gauge that I want to fit in, so I'm thinking to enlarge one of the holes to fit my 60mm boost and leave the other for a 52mm water temp. I have a 60mm boost thats not in yet and wondering if I should buy a 52mm water temp and fit it into the stock dash or just modify an A pillar to fit the two different size gauges and leave the stock water temp as it is(so i can have the add coolant buzzer going off!)

Any suggestions appreciated
Joseph

Not sure about replacing the stock water temp gauge, i do recall someone having done it. but it's really easy to modify the 52mm a-pillar pod to fit your 60mm gauge. just take a dremel and take your time.

i've been pretty interested in the whole idea of replacing the stock gauges in the stock locations instead of running two water temp gauges.

bump for more info.

Gauge Pod Options

If you decide to run 60mm and 52mm gauges there is another option.
I have on hand a few RH and LH units of center speaker mounted gauge pods.
The ones currently in stock are for (1) 60mm gauge and (2) 52mm gauges.

Click the link in my sig below or click this:

If this is not what you had in mind then kindly disregard.

Regards,
Frank

i was thinking of doing the dash but it looked wayy to complicated and prob would cause me a headache..

plus imo as gay as it sounds but i like the look of gauges mounted on the a-pillar..

I see on your website Flyrx7 that you have Tri-60mm for RHD but would you have a dual? I'm really after two pods, not three, one for boost and other for water temp. So if you can custom make it, I'll be very grateful. Or even better if you can make one 60mm and other 52mm, but if you can only make two a dual 60mm, that's OK.

Sorry, I don't offer any FD direct fit dual pod units at this time.
Maybe someday.

Don't do it unless you are handy.

Here's two pics, one with flash and one without. I will be changing the displays to the latest version from SPA soon, which are supposed to remain readable when they are hot (mine go black ) and also have switchable red/green illumination. I will probably run them red after the install.

One from M2, one from http://PegasusAutoRacing.com, and the new displays direct from http://spatechnique.com/.
