Gauge Cluster question (FD) pls help

Ok, I'm doing all the interior in my car right now. The car was stripped 2 years ago and **** has been sittin in boxes. Right now going through all the parts and prepping them. Took the gauge cluster assembly apart today. I'm sanding and painting a lot of the interior pieces to new. Well I took the gauge cluster assembly completely apart. The plastic piece that covers the gauges has spots and some scratches on it. The scratches aren't bad and thats not whats bothering me. There is spots on the plastic from I dont even know what, and they wont come off. Tried everything to get the plastic clean and its not working. I either need to find that piece somewhere to replace it or and my question is... If I buy some after market gauges from autometer, to replace the stock ones, will I even need that plastic cover?? If the gauges come with their own cover and fit, I don't know for sure if I even need that plastic cover for the gauges.

if you'er looking for a new one, call Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda in Woodbridge, VA. it'll be the absolute best price you'll get anywhere. if you're wanting to put aftermarket gauges, dig around and search a bit. i remember seeing a few people do it, but IIRC, it wasn't "too easy".
