flat black FD?
what do you guys think. iv seen a couple of flat and semi gloss black fds on the internet and 1 in person and i seem to like it a lot. think i should go for it and if yes which flat or semi.

Yea Ive only seen it done up nicely on a FC. idk about a FD though, I think itll make the car look like crap. unless your talkin satin black? that might actually come out ok

i actually went to go look at some paint today and its more of a satin black. hot roders use it. i love how mate colors look on old school cars so i think i will be going for it.

lol I had my fd flat black before but I ended up painting for fear of being burned at the stake by the members here lol. I think it looks cool to an extent

lol yeah. i just dont like the vr im running with now. iv always disliked red cars. to many vr 7s out there too. but i do love my car and yes eventually i will get a nice three stage paint job for it. but for now im going flat black. like the way it looks. keep the burns coming there only motivating me more to go through with it lol

I think that Matte colors look good when there are a number of body lines to give depth. I think it relies on the car's lines rather than the paint, which might be why the RE car looks better than the first one posted. The hood, front end, and fenders of the RE car makes a lot of angles, which helps a matte paint job pop. The first one posted is too rounded (read: stock FD) for the paint job to really work. A gloss paint job would allow light to play with the natural curves of the body...a matte job just masks curves but accentuates sharp lines and angles.
