i installed my sub over the weekend. i used a truck box so that you can't tell the sub is there with the hatch cover installed. I hid all the wires... they come up through the carpet right next to the amp...

 

Might get better sound if the sub is pointing towards the rear of the car

 

i have the same speaker but i got 4 12inch ones,, great sound and good price,,, hows it sound in your car

 

looks good, i would take the amp off the box though, all that hard hitting will cause amp failure over time, the cold solder joints will just fall apart

 

You should think about flush mounting into the spare tire circle, if you dont want to go that aggressive I would recommend Damian's box, he has a great write up on it.

 

the sub sounds great. it sounds even better without the hatch cover, but i dont want the subs to be in view. would there be enough ventilation if i put the amp inside the spot where the spare tire goes?
