FD Rx7 Rear Overfender Brainstorming

Hey, Im trying to figure out the best way to run functional rear overfenders on my FD without cutting up the body to much (so that restoring it wont be too difficult or require lots of welding) or worse doing irreversible damage.

I want to run the Origin rear fenders, as seen here:

They are supposed to give about 50mm of clearance, allowing me to run the 0 offset vs-xx's I have.

I have seen the thread started by I believe Damian on how he installed the pettit rear flares by doing multiple cuts 2 inches apart all along on the rear fenders. I dont want to cut up the body that much and trying to go back to the stock fenders would be near impossible.

So I have come up with 2 plans, seen here:

Before I explain the 2 images, the blue line is the fold line, the red lines are the cut lines, and the grey dots is the flap area to be folded up.

Now in the first image, I would make 2 cuts up the side of the fender that stop about 2 inches at the top of the fender. Then using a fender roller bend the flap up using heat, and some other tools. This would then provide excellent support to the new overfender, as well make returning back to stock fenders relatively simple.

In the next image I would do the same thing, but instead cut partially straight up, and as the arch increase make an angled cut to the top. Then repeat the same procedure of bending it up. This option requires a bit more cutting, but with the way the inner fender is it might be the only option that works.

I know it would take alot of time and force to bend the fender up, but going slow and massaging it im thinking would do the trick.

Also the 2 long triangles on each side after bending up the flap might stick out too much with the 50mm flares, so im thinking if those triangles were bent down it would still alow this to work giving really good strength to the overfenders.

So im basically looking for your guys opinion if these options are feasable, which would be better, and any suggestions.

Thanks.
