Puddle lights are usually wired in with the factory remote alarm system, so when you arm/disarm the alarm/unlock the doors with a remote, the puddle lights come on. I think it would be a nice little addition. When I saw those and before I had even read your post, I was thinking I might try it when I get my feed skirts, and then you mentioned it.

There's overboard and then there's nice and clean cut. Not my fault not everyone has a sense of style. My car is avery clean cut and almost stock looking but I add accents here and there.

Btw ~ ******* I'm very hard core performance - Check the sig

One thing I can't stand more then stupid is people is people who are ignorant. To each his own please don't put other people down cause you have nothing else better to do.

Yup, I thought it would be a nice accent to the cars over all appearance at night. I guess some people just can't appreciate some form of style.

Here are the lights I'm decding on ~

Either 2 of these on each skirt followed a by a resistor each.
5.95 each + 4x 3.95 for resistors.

Or this ~ Only one light but stronger intensity and that also has two bolt holes.
23.95 each + 4x 3.95 resistors

Both can bolt right to the skirt and just water proof the wire and relay it. Should be anywhere from 50 - 150$ depending on which lights and how many.

If you do this, maybe do a little basic writeup, as I'm sure it's not going to be that hard anyway.

I won't get my skirts probably until next year as they are kinda bottom of the list right now, so it will be a while before I try.

I'll definetly do it, I just ordered a brand new street ported motor today so I'm going to have to relax on the funds for a little lol.

How's that? Puddle lights are factory installed on many vehicles. They turn on when you remote unlock your car, and they turn on when you shut your car off. They run on a timer and are usually on for less than 15 seconds.

How does that create unwanted attention? Driving down the road with a street glow under car kit turned on is creating unwanted attention.

I'm doing something similar, only I'm mounting mine flush in the bottom of the doors. I picked up a suspension lighting kit from www.varad.com. The kit consists of 4x1Watt leds with a commander for when I want to go from solid to a pattern output. Should look cool as my doors also open vertical. I'm installing pin switches to the doors to activate the lights.

What makes you so sure that you are one of the people without a sense of style? Style is after all an undefined standard left to the opinions of each individual.

Can you say overreaction?

Re read his post and point out where he had a go at your performance.
I highlighted part of your post so that you might take your own advice, would not want you coming of as a hypocrite.

Well then, I did not know that they run on a timer. Install it, if you like it, keep it. If not, take it off

Apparently you lack the one thing most important at life, common sense or your an extremely sarcastic sob.

Either way you should have been swallowed at birth or sprayed all over the walls.

I love how every exterior modification is considered rice. I guess all bmw's exterior lights are rice then right? There's a fine difference between clean cut and overboard ~ Pink Under glows, 10ft GT wings, Excessive amounts of Canards, Euro tail lights. However to each his own, do what you will I enjoying looking at a clean cut seven.

Fyi ~ I'm going for engineering as my major, So I try to think about functionality before looks

Pretty wild stuff, I try more to keep my stock appearance and keep tings hidden but either way thats looks pretty wild. Don't want to make you regret buying the Lambo door but check out the koenigsegg's setup. They are legal at the track and actually reduce weight as well as displace the weight to an even closer 50/50 distribution according to koenigsegg. I wonder how much they will retail for...

I do agree, If someone wants to stare at my car while it's parked an I'm getting in or exiting, I guess thats the luck of the draw. If it was on while driving it would be a different story. It does help to be able to find your car at night IMHO.
