...here's your answer. Thanks for the info. I guess it's safer if it's done by a request of the buyer. I'll be ordering me a set soon too then. Thanks.

Hey,

Did a quick photoshop sample. This is what I'm trying to do in terms of interior look since my black mat (driverside only) are currently sun-toast and leaves crumby bits. Something different but "nice." I want red since I plan to do the red stitched shift boot/break soon and my Defi BF gauges light up red. My brake calipers will be red too. But that's enough of red...I don't want to take away from the beautiful CYM that it is.

www.pettitracing.com sells a few matts. I think the have a few different colors as well (not sure). They might not have it on their web site.....but they do sell them, might have to call them to find out.

I went ahead and bought the mats. Anne was very friendly with the e-mail and answered prompty. Should hopefully come in this week. The RX-7 logo (very close to OEM IMHO) is an optional add-on feature at $20 (for both mats). Will take photos when I get 'em as I need to update my photo collection of my FD anyways.

Oh well...was hoping to get 'em by this weekend maybe for me and buddies cookout and photoshoot. She did say takes about 10 days to ship from "her plant." I guess she works for a car upholstry place or something. No matter, can't wait to get mine.

Did you add-on the RX-7 logo?

Sure did. Got black mats w/ white logo, burber, basically what the group buy got.

I wanted tan logos as its going into a tan interior car, but alas it wasnt offered. (I want black mats because 1) tan mats get stained dirty easily, 2) plan to do seats in black leather along with rear jdm seats which are only available in black)

Cool. Post pics when you get yours as I'll do it too to show others how it came out. Looks like I'll get mine within the 10 days as auction quotes...she did mention there were a shortage of embroidery workers at the plant lately. My UPS tracking says it'll be here tomorrow..in time for our photoshoot this Labor Day weekend.

Yup, I got a tracking number from her yesterday when I got home. UPS.com says they will be at my house today after I get off work. YAY!!

I'll make sure to take some pics for you guys of them, thickness, carpet quality and whatnot. Then I'll take a pic of how they look on the tan interior. (black mats + white logo, which is hopefully a GOOD look. lol. Of course, it would be hard to not look better than tan ones with dark stains all over them! ) Then of course I'll post impressions of them.

Wish I could just get them to deliver to my cube at work seeing as how I work at UPS anyway... Work needs to hurry up and end!

Alright, thats all the pics I have right now. I'm getting ready to head up to the shop and I'll take pics of the mats inside of the car then.

Over all impression - I'm happy with them. They feel much higher quality than the stock mats, along with thicker. The embroidery looks pretty good on it. I havent had great luck with embrodiery though, so hopefully it'll hold up. The carpet material itself feels MUCH better than any mat you'd buy in kmart or something, along with feeling stronger than the stock mats. If anyone owns a miata, its alot like how a stock miatas mats feel, only a bit higher quality carpet. Its not the "soft" stuff the FD mats are made of, its a tougher material. How long it'll take to wear through of course is unknown to me. Hopefully it'll last a good long while.

All in all, I'd buy again (but hopefully there will be no need to since these *should* last as long as stock mats did )
