I haven't ever seen one outside of guys fabbing their own closure or being creative with using it for something else

Why not just purchase a used map pocket that's intact and not use it?

Have you considered using a 'Passenger' side RHD door panel?

You'd have to cut provisions for whatever you need (window switch, mirror switch, etc). But it should provide the result you are after.

halfway down the page:
https://www.rx7club.com/interior-exterior-audio-26/definitive-tan-black-fd-interior-thread-823903/page4/

once i thickened up the hinge the broke i used a metal screw to make the new pivot point.

can you make it all one piece? like from the top of the door where the trim starts to all the way down to the map pocket?

I spoke to Ray at Malloy once, and asked him about the cost, when I was buying some plactic parts, and it's was expensive, and he said he had done it to his, and it broke within one year, with little to no use... so not worth it to do, better to make a replacement, that gets rid of the pocket and makes it flush... Or Re-Design All-together...
