Question FC INterior redone?

Okay, here we go: What can we do to a 1987 Turbo II? (or i guess any FC...)

I'm lookin to buy another one, and if I do, here's my plan so far (interior = black w red accents):

-Paint the car black
-89 GTU black leather seats
-88 GXL steering wheel, or maybe a racing wheel (with the word Mazda in the center painted red)
-Sony XPlod stereo (already have one... I know they suck...) (red)
-Grey interior (new dash and carpets) (is there any way I can get black carpets without spending a fortune?)
-Plastic floor mats for our dirty feet (black w red accent)
-Pedals (red)
-Shift **** (red)
-Shift boot (black w red lines)
-Painted vents (red)
-Various other accents, to be painted red - we'll se how it looks after this

Or, optionally I could stick with the grey carpets, not get floor mats, and put a Pioneer stereo I have in the car and go black with grey accents (replace everything up there that is red with grey for the most part).

Black and red or black and metallic silver?

Sounds good...don't know about the red pedals though, I would just stay with a brushed aluminum look. I would maybe (maybe) paint just the trim on the vents....not the entire thing. I think if you do the black with silver accents, it will look quite a bit cleaner than red.

you can do the headliner and the door panels themselves. you could find, if it didnt have it a black part of the door panel then do the lower part in read leather with a lower black or silver stripe of leather where they usually have the nast looking carpet stuff. the doors are a snap, but headliner is a bit harder if you havent done it before.

if you have any questions on the doors or headliner you can pm me.

oh forgot. with the headliner you could do a red headliner with a silver sunroof shade with a black outline around the sunroof edge and black emergancy screw cover... or any combination of the colors.

my headliner is black with black sunshade and the scew cover and outline are blue and it looks cool as hell

ill go take some of the headliner in a few min and post them later... as for the doors i found out why they have that carpat on the bottom. its to add thickness so that there arent any gaps. at the time i started redoing the door panels i didnt know that so i have to go out and but some blue leather to add a strip to the bottom to make that thickness. but ill also post pics of it as all black. ill get around to adding the blue some other day.

i like the stripped look, just yank out anything which you dont gotta cutout wiht a recriporcating saw, then just hammer out the gunk on the floor and repaint the interior and your done

BTW: fc seats are the greatest, id buy a nice aftermarket non-reclinable seats

Thanks a lot...
I've been looking at the interior, and I dont quite know how much I could do accent wise...
I've been off my black kick recently... I might consider blue with a silver stereo...
And I know about the racing seats lol those are crazy expensive
I don't have any pics because I'm cheap and don't have a digital camera... but anyone with redone interiors and pics, I'd always love somethin to get ideas from

And also - off topic but very upsetting - my son's best friend has a Honda CRX, motor swapped to have a B20 motor (whatever that is... stupid hondas) , but it runs high 12's and it smoked his RX-7 and now he wants to part his 7 out and get a crx! HELP!
