The halogen light is very bright. I can still see the road as long as i don't look at the light first and if i just ignore it. The problem is it's hard to ignore. Thats why i have one stock bulb and one halogen. Best of both worlds

Nice finds! I replaced mine back in October based off he parts number Gordon Monson supplied in this section in another thread. He used a red bulb on the interior. Mine is white and is def. brighter. I also replaced the trunk light, 99spec combo lights, and license plate lights in the process.

My dome/map light is very bright now. When I would be leaving somewhere late at night and would get into my car, I felt it was almost too bright. That's just my opinion though.

awesome. Do you remember the size of the cargo light? I think its DE3715 and that would be a 31mm Festoon. Just wanting to make sure.

Well, the LEDs I installed in my dome are significantly brighter and more useful than the rock bulb configuration.
I think it depends on the type of LED's you get to disperse the amount of light you're thinking of putting out.
This being said, my miata suffered from the same lack of light. Even more so since the center done is the only light the car has for interior purpose. So I went ahead and installed some footwell lighting. Has tht ever made a huge difference!!!
I was so impressed with the outcome, I've had other people consider doing it to their cars. Which brings us to the FD. I need to put some tech back into the car.

It's illegal to drive around talking on the phone so I need to upgrade the deck. In doing so I will probably end up installing an autodim mirror with home link and some footwell lighting. This will bring the car up to the same config I presently run on the miata.

I'll post a pic of the interior of the miata soon.

Update:
Here's the interior for the miata
