NC Amp losing power

so i just installed a 800watt Xtream amp, and two 12'' Dual subwoffers. i rechecked all my wiring about 500 times and everything is good. but for some reason when i turn up my volume on my headunit the power light on my amp dims and some times cuts out then back on. any help is much appreciated.

How did you wire the subs? Sounds like you may be overloading the amp.

Ground it close to the amp on the body with a bolt or screw that has metal to metal contact. No paint

this is in my 91 NA FC, and i work at bestbuy and know the installers well so i know he wouldnt screw me over. iv never had subs before so i wouldnt know what blown subs sound like. ill take his word for it though. i can pick up some nice CVR Comp. Kickers for less then half price so its no big deal. just an annoyance lol

Ok just watching out, cuz in my past I've never heard of blown subs causing the power to drop. But the fc alt is really weak, I wouldn't even put a system to it. When all is hooked up try using ur stereo with the car in aux so there's less load on the alt and see if it helps.
