Efini badges question (and be careful with ebay efini)

A while ago, I've purchased OEM Efini badges from Ebay (link below). Today when I tried to install them on my car I saw that the existing toilet bowl badge holes and the OEM Efini badges do not line up. The title of the ad says RX7 but it doesn't cover the holes in the front or the rear bumper. So first of all I wanted to warn members who are considering this product. It won't fit unless you have the existing badge holes covered.

So now I have no badges and 5 holes on my car. Are there other Efini badges with no background that'll cover the holes perfectly? I know forum vendors sell Efini badges but they have colored backgrounds and I don't like it. If you guys don't know where I can find some then tomorrow I'll go to mazda and buy the Mazda wings badge.

This is annoying cause first of all I threw money away for badges that don't fit. Secondly I've purchased an efini key and an RX7-efini rear decal cause I wanted to go for complete efini set, otherwise i would've gotten RX7-mazda rear decal to go with Mazda Wings badge

I already stuck the RX7-efini rear badge. Do you guys think it'll look silly and mismatched with Mazda wings emblem?

Use a razor blade and cut off the small pins, the adhesive will securely fasten the badges on. I did this years ago and had zero problems, even at speeds above 150 mph

Did the same with no issues. Make sure you have it where you want it before you really push down on the Emblem.

The pins are not the problem. The holes and the emblem do not line up. So be careful buying Efini emblems with no background. I will have to find a flying M emblem which will line up or buy an efini emblem with background.

wha? post a pic dude because none of us are understanding what your issue is.

I did the same as the above posters. I cut the pins off my Efini, stuck sticky tape and covered the existing holes with my new emblem.

The OEM Efini emblems with no background from Ebay (link above) are small or big and do not cover the holes that the existing emblems leave once removed. So do not buy the emblems in the link in the first post. I do not have a photo but hope the pic below will help. It has nothing to do with the rear pins. I believe my car has original factory holes of toilet bowl emblems. 2 holes in the front bumper and 3 holes in the rear bumper.

Dude that sucks. You can try to do the adhesive and find something to plug the holes up with. Paint will be iffy but from a distance it might not be noticeable if you find something the matches slightly.

**Bump**

I bought some OEM Enfini emblems from Japan, and when they arrived they have 2 nubs in the back that are to insert into the bumper.
Problem is, that my rear bumper where the emblem goes, has 3 holes, none of which line up with the emblem.

These are the OEM emblems, so they dont have any color in the "back ground" of it.
So even if I just tried to line up the emblem and just stick it on, the hole is visable through the emblem. the front nose has 2 holes, 1 inch apart directly side by side, and the emblem doesnt fit on that either.n Same problem ALPSTA has mentioned

What are people doing to get around this?
Im willing to cut the nubs, but the holes will almost always be visible.

any real solution to this?

Apply a layer or two of matching car wrap before putting on the emblem. Or do like I did and buy one of the emblems with coloured backgrounds from one of the forum vendors.

Even if you brake the tabs at the back of the Efini emblem there is not enough surface area to stick a double sided tape and expect it to last.
