difference in paint finish using oven?

Hi guys, the story is i have been using the same panel shop for the past 10 years and have been reluctant to change cause i trust the guys who work there wont take my fd out for a test drive but the paintjob they do is of very average quality.

The problem i have now is that im about to get a very expensive widebody kit put on and im not after just a average paintjob, their facility does not have an oven and im wondering if their workmanship has to do with the type of paint they use or is it because they dont have an oven? what advantages are there in having oven besides having the paint dry faster? i tried to google search but didnt get much info, any info would be good

Thanks

I believe prepwork is the most important part of a paint job. Maybe they dont prep very well?

the prep is very important, but the spray finish is also important. baking just releives solvents faster, it will not affect the final finish. air dry normal or baking is the same end result. after the paint is fully cured it will show impefections in the paint that is left from bad prep, such as sand scratches, and surface trash. also keep in mind that if you have it sanded and buffed then make sure you have an expeirienced detail guy do it. this will avoid burnt edges and swirl, hazy spots also.

last but not least. NO AFTERMARKET PAINT JOB WILL BE FLAWLESS. so keep that in mind when you decide to have it sprayed. FLAWS SHOULD BE MINIMAL, and you get what you pay for. if you trust those guys that you have used for a while then i would let them have at it.
