Defi Gauge owners!!
I wanted to know if anyone could tell me if it is possible to open the gauge of the Link (black w/green light) and replace the bulb or modify it to the OEM gauge cluster color.
If you or anyone you know has done this please let me know, and where I could find the bulbs. I am realling looking to get the Defi Link guages, but I do not want the green backlight.

Yeah, me three!
We beat this idea to death a while ago...
Now the BF's are available in red: http://www.defi-shop.com/product/bf/bf_top.html
If you're looking to change what you've got, IIRC, the backlighting is white LED, and the coloring is achieved with the face plastic (or possibly by translucent paint on the face). I'm not sure why they dodn't just use green LEDs. I guess they wanted "softer" coloration.
The real kicker is that the bezel is press-fit to the case. You'll have to bend the hell out of the bezel and/or case to get the damn things apart -- something I bet nobody is willing to do with their $150+ gauge.
If the red BFs were around when I made my Link purchase, I probably would've gone that way, even though I'd rather not be forced to use the 60mm-only size. I guess BF is for "Big F*ckin [gauge]".
Edit: DCrosby, by proxy, is willing to bend the bezels :

I am only looking at the 52mm size, besides, I do not want to sound picky, but I do not what the red to be on during the day, just when the lights are on. Does anyone have any pics of the gauges themselves? How they are sealed?
You guys that are running D gauges, do you have install pics? I have been thinking of those for the cost reason, but the Link numbering and such looks awesome!

I wish gauge companies can make it where you can choose your options. Like, choose the color, the units, the size, the looks. And be accurate gauges at a convenient cost. That would be just too perfect though..

You're only talking about the D gauges, right? Because if you want them to match the OEM gauges, the BF series just came out with red/amber backlit ones that match our factory gauges prefectly! I just installed these in my MB FD and they look beautiful! I don't have any pics yet...
