I have / have not done it myself...
I took mine appart to try and see what the issue was with the faulty EGT I had... and I found that you hav to bend the bezel to get the lens to seperate from the houseing... I told a friend of mine about it since he as an engineering degree, and said he's take care of it.. and he did, but the back of the bezel looks a bit rough now, but I plan on polishing the bezel to match the polished look on the stock gauges, and then It'll be hidden by the houseing that it'll sit in... / against...

any idea if that face comes off easily? also did you happen to notice if the whole needle is red and they just paint the back part of it black, or if its made w/ 2 colors of plastic? i wanted to have the needle match the stock needles so that the red section shows on the entire face of the needle (like on the apexi gauges)

Because I didn't dissasemble the thing my cousin, did I can't really answer that with confidence, I just know you have to bend up the bezel, to get there, if you have time, ask me again in a PM in a couple of weeks, I'm going down to see him in San Diego, then and I can get it back and ask him the specifics... if someone here doesn't first...

DCrosby-

So the DEFI's flat silver bezel will polish to a brighter silver? I'd love for mine to match the stock chrome gauge rings, but I am afraid I'll end up ruining the DEFI's ring. Please let us know what you find out.

Funny. I was looking at my Links wondering if I could replace the LEDs with amber ones. After realizing the bezel is formed around the body... **** it!

It's a shame since resoldering LEDs isn't that big of a deal. And they're stepper motor drive, so there wont be any needle placement or calibration issues.

Oh well, it'd be a pain to find a good color match anyway.
