Custom Interior Panels
I'll be using this thread to post pics and progress of different projects i'll be working on involving the interior panels. I will be offering this service to the forum if you were wondering, more on this later.
My 1st project is a custom A/C Panel for "money".
This is what he wanted done in a black textured finish....
Continue....
Here are some base prices to give you guys a idea but almost anything could be done that aren't listed here.
-Adding gauges, Controllers etc...------$75(each)
-Rearranging ----------------------------$85(each)
-Shaving---------------------------------$65(each)
Price includes the finishing. Right now i only offer smooth black or textured black.
$125 extra for twill weave carbon over lay or plain weave carbon over lay.
You'll have to provide me with the OEM panel to work on and the acc. you want added.
These prices are off the FD pieces but for other cars FC, FB, SA RX3, RX4, Old School etc...it isn't off by that much.

Part 2
Masking everything off for me to get a idea of how everything will work.
My original plan were to cut out the AC area and re use it but that didn't work out. Not enough material and my air saw ended up eating everything i planned on using.
Making the holes for the 52mm gauges. I didn't have the gauges on hand so i couldn't make the whole a exact fit for the gauges. I just made them 2 inches or 50mm so i could shave it off later when i do have the gauges.
Fiberglass the back side

part 3
Since i have the mold for this panel already i copied the AC area to mold to the new area
I use some Duraglass to make a border around the gauges. Don't mind the cricket tape that was fixed already.
Bonding the AC controls to the new area(same process as the gauges)
Covered everything with duraglass
That's all i've got done so far and was about 4hrs worth of work.
Next is to shape, measure and make sure everything is perfect. Cover with some glaze, primer, textured finish and final coat of black.
