Nice chop job. That's the first FD convertible that I have seen.
I remember that Mazda was saying back in 92 that there won't be a convertible version and the car mags were like 'yeah right'. Well, it turns out that FDs weren't such a big hit afterall.
Is it a manual top I take it? How does the car perform compare to the coupe? Any rattle or seal problems? Is the hatch replaced by a trunk lid?
That does look like a jag, especially with the maroon paint job. I would love to see it in person. More pix pleeeze!!

I remember last year when I was looking around for my FD I was offered a convertable FD. I think it was in Washington DC but I don't really remember. I would have bought it except it was out of my price range. He was asking 22k for it. I think he said it cost him 6k to turn it into a convertable. Or did he say 16k? Well either way. It looked very nice and I really wish I could have gotten it.

I know that the company who performed the conversions is located in California, but does anyone know who did them? I think it was a company called Stratman conversions or something like that, does anyone know who did the conversions?

Before I got my 94' I was going to buy a red Convertible 91'. I can imagine a topless FD being a blast on the highway. It would be like a Ferrari.
