China Carbon Fiber install & EVO-R door inserts
We Will start talking about the BAD, IE China carbon parts
Difficulty? PITA!
Every single piece had fitment issues. The poles for screws were in the right place, but the pilot hole would be slighty off, not perfectly vertical or drilled the wrong size...
Piece by piece breakdown:
Cluster Hood: The pole for its alignment was too large of a diameter, solution cut it off. The tabs holding the spring clips were weak only the 2 outer ones clipped in nice the center snapped.
Cluster Hood to face, gapy as hell used shims and time and got it to look nice.
Cluster face: took me a good 15 mins to get the cluster is sit centered in the holes. These screw poles had the best fitment aside from them making the cluster not set level without bending the whole piece slight so the top two cluster holes could be mated. The top two cluster hole tabs were as brittle as a flower, did not dare to use a screw used double sided tape and a zip tie, holds nicely.
Cluster to ac surround, gap not uniform sits rather level and ok otherwise.
AC surround, DEAR GOD the buttons were a major PITA i almost went no ac lol. half the poles werent in the right spot or angle. button holes too tight. Every pilot hole was too large for the stock screw to be used. took a lil over an hour to get the buttons on. They however are in solid now and all function.
Surround to center console, best gap out of the bunch.
Center console, tabs flimys as hell did not use the metal clips as they would stick on because the tab was too thin. Used the hook side of velcro on both sides of the tab and it goes in and out flawlessly. Buttons fit pretty good. Was the easiest Chinese piece to use.
Door inserts from evo-r NO HEADACHES, poles were mounted in reinforced and correct no headaches and fit perfectly.
Over all opinion:
I think it was worth it, looks better than an overlay, dynoc, or the stock plastics. Was major PITA but for its price you pay for it. I would rather pay 1.xk for a really good kit that would have went in no issues but oh well im good now.
Want another view? ask.

interested to see a link as well, out of curiosity... ive only ever seen the stick on or wrap type stuff... never seen actual carbon interior pieces on ebay.
did you take any pics of the pieces before install, like the backside of them?
looks like they dont include the map pocket door... did you get a passenger side door handle trim or no?

this is the China company right? http://www.aliexpress.com/store/8043...-LHD-4PCS.html
Looking into getting this when I get back from my deployment. Sucks that there isn't a more reliable company out there. Most my interior plastics are broken and brittle from age. This would add a nice touch and be somewhat sturdy compared to aged plastics.
You have a link for the door inserts?
