It was $800 shipped. and the hole is in the carpet, not the floor mat. A gift from the previous owner.

looks good, $800 is a good price too! does it tilt up so you can see it better, or is it just stationary.

It does tilt up but the view fully closed is best. The buttons only light up blue, and it has built in DVD and NAV can be added along with SAT radio, HD radio, Bluetooth cell phone, and more that I can't think of right now.

For everyone else floormats have been ordered.
and as far as the tach goes it likes to dance for me. I resoldered everything in it and it still dances. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix it let me know otherwise I will buy a new one.

I was just looking at one of these yesturday, along with a Panasonic with the same features, a Kenwood and a Pioneer. The Kenwood and Pioneer go for about $2,500 (can get them cheaper from a spot I know in Manhattan) but the Alpine and Panasonic are more realistic as far as money is concerned.

Have replaced all the capacitors? There is a write up around here (.pdf) that shows exactly which ones to replace.

I resoldered the joints too and didn't fix mine. My next step was to do the capacitors but then i ran across a good deal on a cluster but have heard that it fixed most peoples' tach problems.

Mine sticks at 2700 rpm if the engien is at 0-2700 and 3300 if it's over 3300. I'm waiting on my Ebay guage cluster -- going to try and do the same thing.

I second the eclipse, dvd, nav, mp3, cd, and a hdd all in one. I added an ipod to mine instead of buying the hdd model. Cost about the same when all was done but at least the ipod is used outside the car.
