I just got a Car DVD Player from my friend. I went to wire it up and everything looked good so i turned it on and it turned on and started playing the cd. Only problem is, i heard nothing. Its somehow not getting to the speakers i assume. Does anyone have an idea of how to check whats wrong?

 

you need to provide some more info. Like who makes the dvd player what its connected to and your h.u.

i got the dvd player for free from a friend and we dont know what kind it is, we cant find a name on it anywhere. Heres some pics of it if anyone recognizes it





and here is a picture of the wiring. the clip on the left goes into the player, the 2 on the right go into the car, and the only 2 wires that arent in a connector are the ground and the attenna (?but the dvd player doesnt even have a radio?).



Also while im at it what is this plug coming out of my car? Should this be hooked into something or no?

the last pic is for the stock antenna. Did you wire anything to the stereo harness?
