centerconsole gauges
i'm thinking about moving the stereo headunit to the glovebox. in place, i want to install my gauges. i have so far SAFC and air/fuel meter. next in line are water temp, oil temp and oil pressure gauges. i'm not a fan of pillar gauges so does anybody have ideas on installing the gauges in place of the stero headunit? and/or any comments on installing the stereo headunit in the glovebox?

btw, this is for my FC.

I put some gauges under my stereo, Im also not a fan of pillar gauges. Some may say the gauges sit too low or out of your line of sight where the radio is, but its not like those gauges require constant attention anyhow. It takes all of a half a second to glance down and see that the gauges are pointing in the normal zone. I made a mount of fiberglass and balsa wood and painted it,it bolts right onto the chassis for the stereo, the whole thing can be removed like you would remove the radio. I think its a good idea, those pillar gauges can look like ***.

you can try this gauge pod. i brought the Universal-Quint-Pod" (5) 2-1/16" (52mm) pod. Starting at $172.50 + shipping from flyrx7. they go above your warning lights. have not install. car still at the paint shop for another month. well at least it's winter. the quality is excellent. http://members.aol.com/flyrx7/Rx7-Gauge-Pod2.html
