Castol Super Clean ... wow

My motor was getting pretty grimmy so I bought a bottle to try out. Says it burns skin and kills all known life forms so you know its gotta be good. Anyways I sprayed it on waited 5 min and hit it with a second coat at a car wash. Sprayed it all off and WOW.
Good stuff but dont leave it on to long !!!

What about damage to rubber/silicone though? Thats all I'd be worried about. Going to take a hell of a lot and a long time to go through the manifolds or anything.

yeah I cleaned under my wheel wells with that stuff and damn it ate the paint off of some spots. Had to go back over it with a coat of paint. It did clean it though. I think on the back of the jug it has the differant % of castrol to water for differant parts of a car. I like the stuff but unless you put the right % in your just asking for disaster.

My catrols super clean never irritated my skin or anything like that, but it sure did a hell of a job cleaning the brake dust and dirt off of my wheels.

Random FYI: If you want to remove paint, use the aircraft paint remover. That ish is crazy. The paint just bubles up in matter of seconds.

Castrol Super Clean is, as far as I can tell, a miracle chemical . I've used to clean damn near ANYTHING you can think of, and it does it GREAT.

Where are you guys getting this stuff? I've looked in a couple Autozones, Wal-Mart, and Advanced Auto. None of the places had it.

Has anyone had problems with water shorting out the alternator? I have been itching to clean my engine, but I had some bad luck on my old Supra, the alternator died shortly after washing the engine.
Thanks,
Randy

I've heard to cover your battery/alternator with plastic bags.

I sprayed it right on the alt and hosed it off no problems. Just spray it on and rinse it right off a few times. I used a car wash for some better water pressure and I could leave all the grease there instead of my driveway !!!

So... the real question is: What happens when you shoot this at an open flame? Any cool colors?

Ok serious question. Is this a citrus product or just the usual tolulene or carb cleaner?
