I think I may have an idea to prevent the door panel from scratching the door sills.

In the window tint world, we not only tint cars, but sometimes you have to add a felt strip to the bottom window seal on the inside as some manufacturers don't put the fuzzy felt on it and thus causes the dirt to scratch the tint over time.

So my thought it take the moleskin and apply it to the bottom of the door panel, where I am assuming it could maybe be done in a way that it's not even visiable from a standing point, and this will create a soft buffer between the door sills and the door panel and it would only be like 1/16 inch thick, so it wouldn't affect closing and opening the door in any way.

Hmmmm, I'm going to use a felt kit at my shop and try and do this when I get a new set of sills, whenever that may be.

^That sounds like a good idea. Mine scratch closer to the front of the door, probably from the actual plastics. I may give this a try also.

I waited on logo versions of these but I don't think they every came out or I ever saw pics of them so I went ahead and had mine repainted and clear coated:

Once I get the car back, I'll paint the silver screws black.

Hope Jay finishes up the sleepy eye headlight kit soon or I'll make my own one of those too!

So these are held down by 3M adhesives? How strong is the adhesive? I'm not sure if it'll be a wise choice for me to get these and put them on now, since I'm going to repaint my car in 2 months. What to do?

I use the double sided, grey foam industrial tape by 3M for when I need to remove one of those rear window antennas that are on the back window to tint the window. If it can hold those on through car washes and years of use, I'm sure the door sills will be fine as well.

I've removed probably 50 or 60 of those over the past few years....haven't had a single one ever come back.
